I'm Liam, a First Year Computer Science Student studying at the University of Waterloo. I'm an aspiring Game Developer.

I discovered programming in my second year of highschool and fell in love with it right away. I really enjoy creating things, and programming gives me the freedom to easily and accessibly dive into whatever topic I want to learn about.
No matter what I'm doing, I always want to make something that I can be proud of.

ARACHN0ID

High-octane third-person wave shooter putting you in control of a top secret government war machine, codename: ARACHN0ID. Tear through waves of enemies with your vast arsenal, but take care to regulate your heat or risk total meltdown. Feast on your enemies to regulate your system temperature and wreak havoc.
ARACHN0ID was developed in Unreal Engine over 3 days for the UW GDC 2025 Game Jam by myself and a team of 5 others.

Project Wendigo

Multiplayer social deception game set in a snowy abandoned mining town. A research team investigating the dissapearance of an entire town breaks down as they begin to suspect that one of their own has been taken, replaced by a creature that isn't entirely them. The only way to escape with their lives is to uncover the truth behind the town's bloodied past and discover the traitor within their ranks.

Tiny Technician

A retro puzzler inspired by 2010's nitrome-era browser games. Made in Unity for the 2024 GMTK game jam in 4 days by myself & 3 others. The game placed in the top 5% most rated games in the jam. I had a blast shipping a complete project for the jam, and I learned a lot about what goes into that process
Update: We are currently working on a full release of the game.

Procedural Animation Animals

A collection of animals simulated in Python using various procedural animation techniques. Each animal is composed of a number of constrained circles that are linked in a chain to simulate natural movement. The legs use inverse kinematics to replicate the way the limbs would move in real life.
This project has given me a great understanding of procedural animation and I hope to use it for another project some day!

FRC 2024 - CRESCENDO

This year, my highschool team competed in the 2024 FRC season, with our robot, AcceLErando. As our team's former Programming Lead and Vice-Captain, I bolstered our team with many structural revisions to ensure efficient communication between subteams. While programming our omnidirection swerve drivetrain, I supervised my subteam to ensure that code quality and structure was maintained across the entire Java project.

FTC 2024 - CENTERSTAGE

As a project for my Gr. 12 Computer Engineering course, my team built a robot to compete in the 2024 FTC season. As the sole programmer, I developed the driver-operated functionality, and constructed a complete autonomous routine that implemented image recognition using TensorFlow to identify and orient itself to AprilTags and other game objects. This autonomous routine allowed us to win a district competition and end the season as a provincial team captain, one of only 4 in the entire province.
